——– FROM THE PASTOR ——–
In two weeks, Fr. John LaRossa from Food For The Poor (FFTP) will celebrate the weekend Masses on August 3rd and 4th. He will be making a special appeal for FFTP, a charitable organization that has done great work throughout the world. They bring much needed relief to vulnerable families affected by poverty. They are known for their effective strategies to fight hunger and poverty while always respecting the human dignity of those they help. They also are dedicated to helping families to break out of poverty with the assistance of FFTP.
I’m sure Fr. LaRossa will be welcomed well here at St. Paul Parish when he visits us to make his appeal. He will describe in much greater detail the work of FFTP and how you can help support their mission. I will be away the weekend he is here because I will be conducting a Men’s Retreat at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg MD.
Last week Louis (Lou) Albertrani, a member of our Parish, unexpectedly passed away. His Funeral Mass was celebrated this past Saturday here at St. Paul Church. Please keep Lou in your prayers along with his wife, Denise.
