June 16, 2024 – 11th Sunday in Ordinary Time

——– FROM THE PASTOR ——–
Happy Father’s Day.  We remember all living and deceased Fathers in our prayers today at Mass.  A special gift prayer card will be given to all Fathers after Mass this weekend.
This Wednesday is Juneteenth.  This is the first year that Delaware City is celebrating Juneteenth with several events.  This Sunday, June 16th, a special 10am Service for Juneteenth will be held at the Mt. Salem U.A.M.E. Church (Fourth Street) followed by a community cookout on the church grounds. On Wednesday, June 19th, a Cemetery Commemoration will be held at the African Union Church Cemetery and Plaza (1840 Michael N. Castle Trail) to honor those who have been buried in the cemetery.  I hope to see you at these celebrations.
Fr. Dave
